Waldron

Save As… will open Friday April 4th from 5- 8pm at the Ivy tech John Waldron Art Center in Bloomington Indiana.

This exhibition will feature the work of fifteen professional using computer aided equipment to help in the creation of works exploring everything from textiles to string theory. Using equipment like 3D color printers, Cnc routers, laser cutters, fused deposition modeling and Arduino microcontrollers artists can create objects in a way never before possible.

I have curated this exhibition with the help of Nicole Jacquard and IU makes to show the potential of this equipment and how it applies to a wide rage of professions from furniture making to physics. My hope is to expose the community and the students to the future of making and in the process generate thought provoking dialog across many fields of expertise that will be the springboard for developing curriculum around this rapidly growing technology.
